Hey... I'm from Sao Paulo, Sao Paulo, and I've never been to Rio.
I'm still not sure when i'll get to go back and visit my folks, but i do hope i will be soon. The end of this year would be great. How was your last trip there?

Yeah, I've never been to something quite that crazy before. My friend lives not far from the main route, so there was music all day. The crowds were insane, though.

Thank you! I really did love London. I timed my visit well without even knowing it and was there for the Notting Hill Carnival and the Olympic handover party. :)

I haven't been in London for a few years, but I really love it there. It is on my list of places to go again as soon as I can. I would love to be able to work there for awhile . . . or have enough money I could just be there and explore the history. What fun that would be!

Happy to hear you made it to Brazil. Sounds like you have quite a list of "To Do's" but I know you will get them done. Just make picture taking number one on that list! I will be anxious to see them. I know they will be good. Someday I hope to be able to visit Brazil . . . perhaps I will walk some of the same streets you are walking now.

Keep sending updates.

i started making a list of things i wanted to do about 5 years ago and one of the first things i put on it was to run a marathon, although i thought that i would be climing a mountain and living with an Amish family for a weekend before completing that particular goal. i really dreaded running the mile in school when i was younger & thought that running down my block was a good workout. but now, in about 4 days i'm going to run a half marathon in arizona (very exciting, yet very nerve-wracking). i've run one other half marathon so far, and the overwhelming feeling of accomplishment & fulfillment at the finish line has kept me coming back for more. 26.2 miles is a daunting number to say the least, but one of the best things i discovered was that you don't start training for a marathon by running 20 miles... you start by run/ walking 1 mile if you have to and work from there. so if you're interested, it's really possible! but all pep talks aside... i admire you for your 3rd goal. i'm not sure how much alcohol has been present in your life, but i grew up around alcohol abuse and i wish that some of my relatives had the strength to make that one of their life goals as well :)

WEll what a lovely thing to say!! (last Sept!!!...I AM the mother of Ben = AND have not looked at this part of the site since they helped me get my photo up!!)
What a great name = Rowdy (or did you make that up!?)
I seems like i must have had you in one of my workshop - or perhaps you are doing your own, what with all the happiness stuff you are including here! Gee, I need someone to help with my site which could use lots of inputs about humour and happiness. Your photos are gorgeous.

My suggestion to move your love for photography forward:
* write the goals around the photos in a much more specific way (incl. numbers, by when, with whom etc) then tell as many people as possible
* then do at least one action daily to move towards that goal (I call it desired future!)
*share your successes and milestones and keep tweaking your goal.

Remember - You are the author of your destiny. work it baby!!

Rowdy, Most of my jobs are always 12-14 hours too. It makes life crazy. Keep taking pictures whenever you can and getting them up on the web. I know you will eventually get some published. They are so good. Have you tried putting some up on MySpace or one of the other large social networking sites? Opportunities for more folks to see them. Be sure you mark them as yours, not public and let the world know that you are looking for a publisher! It will happen. When it does, I want the 1st book of your photos! Autographed!

Rowdy, How are things going with your list & life? I'm working on my list. Especially trying to write more. Please share some more of your photos. I loved the ones that you put up before. You are some photographer. Do you do that for a living? Or just fun?
