I did it. I went to Mont-St-Michel. And it was awesome. However... when you go, make sure you don't so it in August (peak of tourist season) and definitely make sure you have plenty of time. Ha ha.
That's really funny. Isn't it crazy how stuff works out like that? Can't say that I know the FOB guys, but I was friends with a guy whose band opened for Yellowcard a few times. I never went to one of his shows though, or maybe I would be friends with somebody famous. :P
Yeah, I have a couple of days in France to burn on my own before I meet a friend in Paris, so my thought was to go to Brittany to the abbey and then to Normandy. I haven't read any fiction about it, but when I was in high school a friend's dad practically demanded that I read some non-fiction book about it. I only slogged through like half the book because it was technical and boring, but I've always thought it looked like a really interesting place to visit, especially because prisons that are guarded by the tide are beyond awesome. So it's either that, or wine and castles in the Loire Valley. Maybe I can squeeze in both. Haha.
So, like half of your list is on my list too, only I didn't know it yet because I think thus far those goals have only reached my subconscious. I was reading it and taking notes. :P
So, I'm curious - what "Colorado Trail" are you referring to? The Continental Divide Trail or something else altogether? "Travel to Antarctica" is on my list too - I have NO idea how to pull that off - good luck with it, though!
