What Do You Want To Do Before You Die?
Why I am here...
Being a senior in high school, it feels as though the weight of the world is on your shoulders. Not only is there a last time for everything, last first day of high school, last pep assembly, last homecoming dance, etc, but people ask you everyday what are you going to do with the rest of your life. When it seems like everyone around you has their life planned out, it's a scary feeling when you have no clue what you want to do with yours ... which, in a round about way, leads me to how I found The Buried Life.
After just having my birthday, me, my sister, and my friend were all watching the VMA's when (after the craziness and sadenning scene of Kanye ruining Taylor Swift's moment) a commercial came up that caught my eye. It wasn't for an over the top "reality" tv show or a weird dating game, but for something that had a purpose. After searching the internet for hours, because me and my crappy memory could not remember the name, I finally found The Buried Life's website and after watching the trailers for the project I was hooked.
Their idea of the question, "what do you want to do before you die", got me thinking about how I want to spend the rest of my life. It's is not necessarily about what kind of career you have or how big of a house you live in, but who you are surronded by and what have you done. I don't want to look back with regret over not having done something...so that's why I joined. To create a list of things that I want to do and hopefully in the process discover who exactly I want to be as a person.
