The Buried Life

What Do You Want To Do Before You Die?

The Buried life came to McMaster to speak at our CLAY conference and they inspired many delegates! As a clay leader I tried to encourage my delegates that being a leader isn't necesarily controlling others or making commands, but being a positive role model that inspires others to follow and make good choices. High school was horrible I remember being on the spirit squad and getting made fun of because it “wasn’t cool”. McMaster has completely changed my life and encouraged me to become who I want to be! I think it can be hard for youth to break free from critizism and achieve their goals and dreams. It's important to stay positive because if you chase your dreams there will be someone out there that's going to give you that lift to where you want to be! I've always made little lists of everything I love, I remember being nine or ten years old and putting things on my list like "Go to Ireland" or "Learn to snowboard" no matter how extreme or easy. I remember being seventeen and finding that list in a showbox full of old writing. Happy to discover I had accomplished over half of my list. I think when we follow our hearts the world just comes together for us. There's nothing worse than life passing us by and saying "I wish I had of..." just get out into the world and do it now. University, work, family, they aren't getting up and walking away, life outside work and school is just as important and rewarding, experience is the greatest gift because only experience can give you that raw emotion we search for within anything we do. And so, this is why I adore the buried life, for making this concept public and getting others super inspired to LIVE YOUR LIFE!
