"What I want to do before I die," By Jack Nicholson

Well, it's not exactly Jack Nicholson, per se, but coming up at Christmas, if you haven't heard yet, Jack and the illustrious Morgan "Stone Cold" Freeman are starring in The Bucket List, a film about two cancer patients who escape from a hospital ward to go on a world-wide roadtrip, accomplishing things they want to do before they die. Where have we heard this before?

While they're two old badgers who are facing the prospect that they could actually die, I think the world will get a chance to have that beautiful wake up call to do what you want to do while you still can. Maybe the Buried Life could arrange a pre-view party? Get your people in touch with Jack's people.

Additionally, a man close to my heart (and countless other adult contemporary aficionados) who's not waiting for the world to change, John Mayer, contributed the main song for the soundtrack. You can watch the music video here:

Soundtrack music videos are starting to look more and more like something someone made with windows movie editor and this one is no exception, but it has some great and inspiring clips from the film, and the lyrics of the song are appropriately encouraging, and I like 'em. Here's a sample verse:

Have no fear for giving in Have no fear for getting older
You better know that in the end its better to say too much
Than to never to say what you need to say again

So, what I'M saying is... it seems to be a growing movement, people. If Morgan Freeman can get sassy about what he wants to do before he dies, so can we. I wonder what's on Jack's real list? I'm sure Entertainment Tonight will find out, sometime in early December.
