Go on do what you've got to do ... you've got your dreams I've got mine too.

Warning: This post is really long. Obviously. I just really wanted to summarize my experience and this seemed like the perfect place to do it. I don't really expect anyone to read it, but if you do.. SWEET!

So, here I am sitting at home reflecting on the best four months of my life. I experience life on my own for the first time. And I was seriously on my own. When my flight landed in Thailand, back at the end of August, I was elated. I was so far from home. I was really doing something.… Continue

Life is what you give. It's not about the stupid things you did. It's not about the way things could've been. It's about movin' on

So here I am.
In the middle of my adventure, in the middle of New Zealand, in the middle of the best time of my life.
This whole trip has not been what I expected. I didn't even know what to expect.
Everything so far has been Ah-Maze-Ing!
I have seen some of the most beautiful scenery that I didn't know existed. I have met some of the most amazing people that have shaped my trip as well as my life.
And I have learned more about my self than I thought I would.
There have been so many amazing days… Continue

"This is a city for not sleeping; The clocks are set by feel. At this moment from where I stand; none of this seems real"

I doubt that anyone reads these, but I feel the need to write some of this down.

I arrived in Bangkok last night and was surprised to find that things didn't seem that different from home.
But I've made my way (3 hour taxi ride) to the wildlife rescue center and now I feel really far from home.
I absolutely love it here though. I'm completely surrounded by wildlife. I've finally escaped the world of malls that is home. No chains, no billboards, no advertisements. Just people, plants and animals… Continue

"I lean against the wind, pretend that I am weightless, and in this moment I am happy"

Hi Everyone

So on Saturday I set off for my big adventure. I'm flying to Thailand for 4 weeks to volunteer in a zoo of injured animals. Then I go straight to New Zealand for 5 weeks. I'm traveling on my own for a few days, and I spend the rest of the time with another volunteer organization. This organization works on various conservation programs around different parts of New Zealand. After that, I'm headed straight to Costa Rica for 5 weeks. I'll be living in a rainforest where we'll be doing… Continue

Albertasnot too bad, i live in camrose, which isnt great. But Edmonton and Calgary are both pretty sweet. Ive only livved here a year though. and Im not stayin for much longer. So I guess that gives you an answer of how I feel about it. Why are you moving here?

Also, im sorry your New Zealand experience was slightly poorer than the rest, but its good you want to return, because when I went there, it was amazing, so many things to see on such a relatively small island. Also, I havent been to a ton of places, but the people in New Zealand were amazingly kind.
