Is there anything still on their list that you REALLY can do to help them? Do you know someone who can put you in touch with someone who knows someone? Well, you get the picture . . . . how can you help?
Six degrees of separation is not just a theory. It is really true. We all are connected and all can help each other. You just have to want to and then figure out how and where and when. Start thinking. Let them know what you can do. What number can you help them cross off!
I went to the main site and read the list, I know some of the items haven't been crossed off that they've already completed. I'm curious what is still left (hint hint boys!) for us to assist them with? There are a few in particular I think I could help with, but I'm not sure if they've already completed them.
Yes, I went to the list today too and saw that there are several things that I know they have already done and not crossed off . . . . I suggested they whip out that red pen and start updating the list. Haven't heard a thing . . . . maybe they are taking the weekend off?
For helping someone build a house, you could talk to Carlton Toews (http://www.facebook.com/people/Carlton_Toews/653765037) about Project Love Tijuana (or something along those lines). He helps to organize trips for groups to go down to the ravaged border town and build homes for people with property (and not much else). The people you meet are amazing, and it only takes a few days to build.
If you're interested, I have more info about the projects available, since I was involved in the first two years of my high school's Project Help program.
