Hello all! I was just noticing that a lot of people have similar goals. I was thinking that we could get something organized together, like a road trip next summer or a group trip somewhere. We should probably plan WAY ahead, though. If anyone has any input, lets all talk about it here! We could even get the guys to help us out, but I think so much can happen if we all work on getting things done together!
Happy summer!
all right, i think my parents will be fine with it, considering my two best friends are on here, so i need to get them updated and convince them to go. but once again an obstacle is the length. i cant go three weeks. my parents want to see me more than that over the summer, so im hoping ill get to drive when you guys are have almost a week and a half left. we need help in finding good deals on RV's and also figuring out ways to do the whole buriedlife thing. and it is true, we do need to start getting comfortable with eachother.
after all, we do plan on going on a trip and in order for us to be successful we need to start learning stuff about one another.

If you invite me I'm a good planner
What do we need right now? - a map, a list of who's going and a list of goals from each, then start figuring out where to start, how each member is going to get there, what the best mode of transportation is, etc.
Who really wants to do this? - Me :o) (she says hopefully)
Who needs help in asking his or her parents for permission? - I'm a parent I actally need to ask my hubby :o)
What do you guys think we should ask the four boys to help us with? - not sure here
Who else do you feel like inviting? - again Me :o) (she says hopefully)
Who wants to be in charge of what? - I think tristan should be in charge of the photography for memories and posting etc.
What obstacles are we facing at this moment? - $$$ and knowledge of each other
How do we get over them? - Hi I am Cyndi a mom of a 4 and 5 year old pair of tornandos (boys) I LOVE LOVE LOVE traveling and I would like to get to know all of you.
Do we want to start exchanging vital information here? - I have e-mail, and yahoo IM, I think it would be good to set up a date and get into an IM chat room for everybody to "meet" and not have too much vital info posted right here
We're all strangers still to each other, so I think we need to work on getting comfortable with one another really soon. - A chat room is a good start then we can work on being sure we are all who we say we are and all the parents can get comfortable that we are all who we say we are.
alrighty. well since you kicked off the whole getting to know eachother, im hillary. im 18 and i am majoring in nursing. im a pretty laid back person, so whatever you guys plan, ill only put my input in when needed. generally im good with people, i once got pretty good deals on hotel rooms for florida when i asked for a manager and talked it out with him and made deals. so if you want, when we figure out the whole RV thing, i can totally try to get a deal.
money is probably not going to be too much of a problem for me. luckily my job pays pretty well for a teenager. and you dont have to be asked to be invited. once your on here, i basically feel like your family. you're part of the buried life family so come on and join the trip! ill go looking for a map of the united states and attempt to figure out a good route to go or what we can do to cross of things on people's list.
What can we get done and where are we starting? in LA or in Maine? or someone said Chicago. lets make up our minds here. :)

Did I miss any one?? I think this is our list of who so far...
By the way I'm 36 twice as old as Hilary, but I'm called the fun auntie, because I like to do stuff and experience things. My friends husband went to Disney in Hong Kong and was so excited to tell us that he finally did something Cyndi hasn't done. LOL I am a planner and I love to do it up big whatever "it" may be. this is so awesome, I'm totally psyched!
By the way... Any of you know how to skateboard, maybe you can teach me on the trip ?
OK here is where you all laugh at me, but I have to warn you. New mexico is my own personal bermuda triangle. I could almost write my book about things that have happened to me and or the vehicles I have been in when I have stopped in New mexico. I'm not joking I have been through NM at least 5 times and what should have been a nights stay or an hour's stay inevitably became more... like a week etc. Except the first time I refused to STOP in NM... eerie music begins... I swore never to stop there again, dramatic voice continues... friends and husband laughed, but I would not let up. we filled up the gas tank in TX... hit the road and made for the hotel in AZ just over the border with no... stopping... in NM... allowed! we reached AZ in safety but when we turned on the TV, dun dun duuuuuuhh... A wild fire that was spreading across south NM covered and closed down the highway (that we had just crossed) to ALL traffic. If we had stopped where my husband had wanted to in NM we would have been stranded there. wah hahhah. No really... just wanted to tell you cause rt 66 that was mentioned... mm hmm, yeah it goes through there and wanted you all to be prepared for vehicle trouble when we go there if that ends up part of the plan. :o)LOL
Wow this is getting far and I'm so happy! Well I really want to be on this list! I am a bit preoccupied with school right now, but I will get out my information now.
I'm Annie and a first-year at an all-woman's college on the east coast. I am turning 18 on September 16th (!!!!), am generally happy and outgoing, love coconut, and think humor is really important. I love love love music, of most varieties, but my fav's are Queen and The Beatles. I like animals and ride horses (I live on a horse farm!) I am stuck with the whole parents thing as well, but I may get my cousin to join in, he's 23 and 6'5 and I'd feel safe with him no matter what, hehe. I have been spreading the buried life idea all over the place, from seattle to massachusetts to ellen degeneres (though she obviously hasn't replied... :(
I really hope this works out. I hear some good rv rates are from 1 800 RV 4 rent or something (uh, I'll get the real site soon!)
I would love to help organize if someone wants to give me a suggestion! I'm glad that a parent is involved, that makes the whole idea safer for us young'ns ;)
Meanwhile, look for me on facebook: Annie H
love you guys! keep working on it, this is SOOO exciting!!!!
Fantastic!! The suggestions so far are awesome. So getting to know each other…I’m Surien, 21, originally from South Africa, living in Canada for the past 5 years. I have a good sense of direction (only problem is that I haven’t technically been to the US) but I am a great navigator (give me a map to read and we can be on our way), I love to organize events so Cyndi I am with you in the planning of the whole trip, I used to street perform in SA so I can always help with the raising of the money along the way…I also think that catering to everyone in the group is important (don’t know how we are going to do that). Another thing to consider is that I am studying marketing and have quite a few contacts here in Canada, so do we need sponsors for the trip; maybe a beverage company, a food company to help with the costs? What do you think? I am looking forward to getting to know all of you. :D
that would be a great idea! if you could geta hold of some of those contacts, that would be awesome! and im all for someone else doing the whole mapping process and directions b/c...well im kind of not good at that. haha!

Wow I never thought of sponsors, but after looking at RV rentals last night it sure would be nice. we could be looking at $10,000 for just 1 for 30 days not including gas money...

no we don't have to, but it could be cheaper then hotels and would keep us all together to enjoy getting to know each other. I mean I have a van that can hold 15 but if we only 15 people... that's really close quarters for us all to be for the whole trip. I mean, no personal space. And if it's a whole month, sorry guys but you know us girls are each going to hit that time of the month somewhere a long the way LOL!
