Summer 2009

Hello all! I was just noticing that a lot of people have similar goals. I was thinking that we could get something organized together, like a road trip next summer or a group trip somewhere. We should probably plan WAY ahead, though. If anyone has any input, lets all talk about it here! We could even get the guys to help us out, but I think so much can happen if we all work on getting things done together!

Hey Shawn, I have a couple of answers for you...
- I have contact info for most of you in my bio file,
- I think meeting on the west coast is best because most of are closer here to start and there are quite a few goals out this way like screaming into the Grand Canyon.
- We need a list of goals in order to get the map, put maybe head across the south to the east then head up the east coast. I'm trying to gather goals off everyone's pages.
- I REALLY want to do 3 weeks but 2 is much more realistic, anything less is going to make it hard
- Everyone should have a maximum size bag, will make traveling simpler. we can figure that out.
- Of course water and food will need to figured out, we need to figure what the plan is if we don't get sponsers. I've never been a part of anything involving sponsers so I don't know how likely it is or what it entails. I'd rather be prepared so it will be a bonus if we do get something, make sence?
- And transportation, got to find a way to fly or dive to original point and have a place for all to meet, like is we start in Seattle we can all meet at the space needle at a certain time. Then I have the van as a last resort, but we do need to figure this part out.

What do you think is a good deadline?

Well Emmie, if you can't come maybe we can come visit you! how is your area of texas in the summer? HOT? Maybe there are a couple things in your area that we can try? It's an idea anyway, right?

If anything else, let's just have a really long drive to wherever. Let's all meet in Los Angeles. Bring money and our positive attitudes. Let's nail this down.

OK down to the end... we all took too long we knew it would happen... but I have June 12- June 19th free... sons out of school and my Grandmother not back to care for... is anyone still up for trying something... even If I just host an event in the desert for some, Learn to shoot guns, go 4x4ing, or got to the grand canyon, find a waterfall, anything???

Oh, man. It's almost June. I'm so sorry, Cyndi. I would love to go do shit with anyone from here, but I forgot to mention to you all that I'm already doing the AIDS/LifeCycle 8 event in the beginning of June. It's a bicycle ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles in seven days and for 545 miles. I can't take more time off from work.
